Week 13

Zero Conditional. The condition and the result are in simple present. We use it for scientific stuff. If you drop two objects at the same time, they touch the ground at the same time.

Second Conditional. We use it for unreal situations in the present or future. If I were rich, I would travel around the world. If I spoke perfect English, I would have a great job.

Third Conditional. We use it for unreal situations in the past (related to regrets).
If I had studied more, I would have passed the exam. (In reality, you didn't study, so you didn't pass the exam)

Moral dilemmas. Given a situation you expand your idea with if, unless, even if, etc. For example:

If I found money on the street, I would return it; even if it were a lot of money.

Wishes. We use the verb WISH to talk about something unreal.

I wish I spoke perfect English. I wish I had money. I wish I were rich.

You can use wishes in the present (I wish I had money), or wishes about the past (I wish I had studied more)
